Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif left today for a two-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The prime minister is in the UAE at the invitation of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, according to a Foreign Office spokesperson on Tuesday.
The prime minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes key cabinet members.
The prime minister is making his third trip to the UAE since taking office. During the visit, the prime minister will meet with the president of the UAE, with a particular emphasis on strengthening economic, trade, and investment ties between the two brotherly countries and expanding opportunities for Pakistani workers in the UAE.
The two leaders will also discuss a variety of regional and global issues of mutual interest. The prime minister will also meet with Sheikh Muhammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates.
During his visit, the prime minister will meet with Emirati business leaders and investors to discuss ways to expand bilateral trade and investment.
For the last five decades, the UAE has been home to approximately 1.7 million Pakistanis who have played a pivotal role in the success story of the UAE, contributing to the progress, prosperity, and economic development of the two brotherly countries.
