The Revival of Balochistan Water Resources Programme’s overarching goal is to help Balochistan (Pakistanagricultural )’s and livestock farming sectors move toward using less water and attaining greater environmental and economic sustainability. The program’s entire budget is 40,000,000 euros.
Under the direction of a project steering committee, two distinct implementing contracts will collaborate closely to carry out the programme. The technical assistance offered through this service agreement will help achieve the following three project-specific goals:
improved control over water resources and rangelands;
alternative low-water agro-economy agriculture and livestock farming techniques developed, including agronomic practices that restore groundwater;
increased accessibility of trained agrotechnology professionals able to integrate and offer farmers advice on climate-relevant farming practises
