The detainees endured weeks of imprisonment in undisclosed locations and physical abuse, lasting between 30 to 55 days, according to Ajith Sunghay’s report during his Gaza visit.

Videos by Israel:
Multiple videos shared by the Israeli army during the ongoing war depict hundreds of Palestinian men sitting outdoors in the cold, stripped to their underwear and sometimes blindfolded. Some videos also show women and children. The footage was captured at various locations in Gaza, including Beit Lahiya, Shujayea, and Jabalia.
.Prisoners Remarks:
According to the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor, released prisoners recounted being forced to curse themselves and criticize Palestinian groups and political figures before being transported in trucks to open-air detention facilities. There, they endured beatings and mistreatment.
Ajith Sunghay emphasized that Israel needs to ensure treatment of all detainees in accordance with international human rights and humanitarian law. Sunghay urged Israel to demonstrate imperative security grounds for each person in detention or release them, emphasizing due process rights.
Meanwhile, prisoners released in Gaza accused the Israeli army of mistreatment upon their arrival at Abu Youssef Al Najjar Hospital in Rafah, southern Gaza. One detainee, Muhammad Abu Samra, detailed torture, beatings, threats, and attacks by female soldiers, including obscene insults.
