A UN car came under attack in KP, the northwestern region of Pakistan, specifically near the border of Dera Ismail Khan and Tank districts. The UN personnel attacked in the incident remain safe, while the vehicle has sustained damage.Â
The attack occurred within the jurisdiction of the Kalachi Baghwal police station, with a surge in terror attacks in the area. The DI Khan Police Control Room reported that unidentified attackers targeted the vehicle but no one was injured.Â
The UN car under attack, was traveling from DI Khan to Tank when the attack happened. Following the incident, the UN mission in the area was advised to evacuate the region due to heightened security risks. The ambush occurred in an area experiencing increased violence, with both KP and Balochistan provinces in Pakistan witnessing numerous fatalities and injuries.Â
Currently, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack. The banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has denied any involvement in the incident.
