The one-day visit to Islamabad by UAE President HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has been postponed due to poor weather, with new dates to be announced soon. On January 25, the president of the United Arab Emirates travelled privately to Pakistan. Al-Nahyan was expected to visit Islamabad to talk about measures to strengthen ties of friendship and collaboration between Pakistan and the Gulf nation.
The prime minister remembered his most recent trip to the United Arab Emirates and emphasised that both nations will continue to build on the consensus achieved between the two heads of state during that trip. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who came to Pakistan on a private visit, said that the two nations had maintained excellent relations for many years and that his father, who had a deep affection for Pakistan and its people, was responsible for laying the groundwork for their mutual cooperation. The president of the UAE stated that he thought of Pakistan as his “second home” and gave the prime minister his word that his nation will always support Pakistan.
