The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with the relevant authorities and in cooperation with national airlines, launched the service of issuing (a Transit Visa for Stop-over electronically), to facilitate coming to the Kingdom for all purposes, and facilitating the procedures for obtaining and automating an entry visa. The Transit visa for Stop-over allows those in transit who wish to enter the Kingdom from performing Umrah and visiting Al Masjid and Nabawi, in addition to commuting and attending tourism events.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that the launch of the service as of today, by applying for a transit visa through the electronic platforms of Saudia Airlines and Flynas, to be automatically passed to the unified national visa platform at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to process and issue the digital visa immediately and send it to the beneficiary via e-mail. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms that the digital Transit Visa for Stopover service will contribute to achieving the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 by strengthening the Kingdom’s position and benefiting from its distinguished Strategic location as a link between continents, an attraction station for transients, and a global tourist destination. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that the Transit Vise for Stop-over is issued free of charge, immediately with the ticket, and the validity of the visa extends to three months and the stay in the Kingdom for four days.
