According to a report from the China Media Group (CMG), a trial section of the Indonesian Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway (HSR), a significant project under China’s projected Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), has been outfitted with conditions for collaborative testing.
The joint tests, according to experts, are a process of changing operational and track systems, and discovered flaws are rectified in accordance with the test results.
“High-speed trains and other testing tools are used during the tests to gradually evaluate a number of systems, including train control system, signal system, power supply system, and track operation systems along the line, in an effort to ensure that the overall systems meet the requirements for high-speed operations,” said Sun Zhang, the railway expert.
