The German ambassador to Pakistan, Alfred Grannas met with the Resilient Women Network and had a detailed discussion with executive members of the Network.
The Resilient Women Network strives toward the goal of achieving gender parity and the empowerment of women by the year 2030. The ladies who were chosen originally went door-to-door in their respective neighborhoods, visiting homes to spread awareness about general safety, electrical safety, rain safety, power theft, and energy conservation.
“In a society where it’s rare for women to hold fieldwork roles, it was tough at first,” the representative noted when expressing opinions about this project.Â
When asked about her experience, one of the executive members remarked, “Unfortunately, my husband was forced to leave his profession as a result of the epidemic.” Because I was already participating in this program and earning a stipend, I had no problems managing the household in spite of the fact that I was doing so.
