According to a press announcement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on Thursday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will travel to Turkey on a two-day official visit from November 25–26, 2022, at the request of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The third of the four MILGEM Class Corvette Ships for the Pakistan Navy, PNS Khyber, will be formally launched at the Istanbul Shipyard alongside President Erdogan, according to a press release.
The two leaders will also undertake in-depth conversations on a variety of topics, including bilateral ties, the state of the region, and other topics of interest. Shehbaz is also anticipated to speak with influential figures in Turkish business. During his visit to Istanbul, the head of the ECO Trade and Development Bank (ETDB) will also meet with the prime minister.
