President Xi noted that Prime Minister Ardern has often said that New Zealand conducts an independent foreign policy; this relationship with China is one of the most significant for the country, and there are areas where cooperation between China and New Zealand is both possible and desirable. This is greatly appreciated by President Xi. The 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and New Zealand is this year. This partnership has grown soundly and steadily over the last 50 years. Bilateral collaboration in different fields has benefited both peoples and contributed to regional peace, stability, and prosperity. New Zealand is a significant partner and friend of China. Both sides must draw inspiration from history and continue to strive to be the first in order to build the two nations’ comprehensive strategic alliance.
