The 29th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting was held in Bangkok, Thailand, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. Speaking at the gathering under the title “Shouldering Responsibility and Working Together in Solidarity to Build an Asia-Pacific Community with a Shared Future,” President Xi Jinping made some significant points.
President Xi noted in his remarks that the Asia-Pacific region is both our home and the engine driving global economic progress. The “Asia-Pacific miracle” is a product of the region’s strong economic cooperation during the previous few decades, which is praised worldwide. People’s attitudes toward cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region are firmly entrenched. The Asia-Pacific area has become even more significant and prominent in its stature and role as a result of today’s world reaching another historical turning point. We must work together to create an Asia-Pacific community with a common future and advance Asia-Pacific cooperation in light of the changing circumstances.
