On Sunday, a brand-new cargo jet from Pakistan arrived in earthquake-stricken. Turkey with 90 tonnes of relief supplies including 1,200 winterized, fire-resistant tents.
According to a statement from the Pakistani Embassy in Ankara, the relief supplies bearing a message of sympathy. For the Turkish people have arrived in the southern province of Adana.
The special assistant to the Pakistani prime minister who accompanied the aid, Khawaja. Ahmad Hassan, told reporters that Ankara and Islamabad are like “two hearts, one soul.”
“The people of Pakistan experienced the same suffering and agony as their Turkish brothers and sisters. And they are resolved to offer all assistance till complete recovery and rehabilitation.
The Prime Minister is personally overseeing the earthquake relief assistance coming from Pakistan.
Keeping with their illustrious tradition of helping one another out in any situation, he continued.
According to the announcement, goods for earthquake relief, primarily winterized tents, were being sent to benevolent Turkiye on the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s orders.
From Pakistan, aid efforts will continue till all quake victims have received full rehabilitation.
Sharif was one of the first world leaders to travel to the area to show support for the earthquake victims.
According to a statement released earlier on Sunday by Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority. It was the second assistance flight flown to Turkey in the previous 48 hours for earthquake victims.
Another cargo jet arrived in Adana on Saturday delivering 90 tonnes of aid supplies.
Both flights are a part of a unique air bridge operation that will send tents to Turkey using more than 34 chartered cargo planes, the statement continued.
500 tonnes of relief materials for those impacted by the two devastating earthquakes. That struck Turkey and Syria on February 6 were sent by a second ship of the Pakistani Navy on Saturday.
2600 winterized tents and 38,000 blankets are being transported to Turkey by the ship. PNS Moawin, and 22,000 blankets, ration packets, and generators are being transported to Syria.
The ship left Pakistan’s southern port city of Karachi. Pakistan promised to supply 50,000 winterized tents for earthquake victims in Turkey by March 23 last week.
