The artillery shells, which Norway donated last year, can be used in a variety of artillery systems. It is critical for Europe’s and Norway’s security that Ukraine repels Russia’s illegitimate attack. Ukraine requires international assistance in the form of military equipment and training to accomplish this. According to Norwegian Minister of Defence Bjrn Arild Gram, Norway has made significant contributions throughout 2022, and Norway has delivered another 10,000 artillery shells to Ukraine. and will continue to support Ukraine in 2023 and for as long as it takes.
The artillery shells are delivered from the Norwegian Armed Forces’ own stock, with consideration for national readiness.
-Ukraine requires continuous military equipment supply to combat the Russian aggressor, and we will look even more closely at what we can donate directly from the Armed Forces or through acquisitions from the defence industry, as well as a combination of the two, says Gram.
