The 9th UNAOC Global Forum, with the theme “Towards an Alliance of Peace: Living Together as One Humanity,” is slated to take place in Fez, Kingdom of Morocco, on November 22–23, 2022. Description Both H.E. Mr Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, and H.E. Mr Miguel Moratinos, Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) attended the event (Kingdom of Morocco, host country). The Forum will bring together official delegations from the UNAOC Group of Friends, political leaders, representatives of international and regional organisations, religious leaders, faith actors, youth, members of the private sector, civil society, academics, artists, athletes, and media, as well as donor organisations and foundations, to engage in a robust exchange of creative ideas.
Hina Rabbani Khar, the minister of state for foreign affairs, addressed the Ministerial Meeting of the Group of Friends of UNAOC that took place in Morocco at the 9th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations. She brought to light the paradox of a more connected, worldwide society that also led to social unrest. and reiterating the obligations attached to freedom of expression under international human rights law. Moreover, she was also referring to the Holy Prophet PBUH’s teachings on tolerance and patience.
