Mr. Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, traveled to the People’s Republic of China. The Prime Minister visited both countries for the first time since taking office.
The Prime Minister congratulated President Xi Jinping on his reelection as General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and expressed admiration for his leadership, insight, and people-centered development philosophy.
The Prime Minister praised Xi’s contributions to the continued development of Pakistan-China relations. President Xi was welcomed to Pakistan by the prime minister. President Xi said he would go whenever it was most convenient. To further strengthen their bilateral ties, the two leaders agreed to cooperate.
Congratulations on the successful conclusion of the 20th CPC National Congress were expressed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He praised the CPC’s leadership for playing a crucial role in advancing China’s progress, prosperity, and renaissance as a nation. He acknowledged Xi’s admiration for China’s accomplishments in socioeconomic growth as well as its commitment to the CPC’s reform of global politics and governance principles.
