According to an FPCCI statement issued on Thursday, Kazakhstan’s ambassador in Pakistan announced an agreement allowing direct flights between the two countries to be formalised by March 2023.
According to Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, president of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), the initiative will aid in the promotion of trade, investments, joint ventures, tourism, and overall economic cooperation between the two countries. The ambassador told a large crowd of business leaders, diplomats, representatives of large commercial banks, and logistics companies gathered at the FPCCI headquarters that major commercial banks from Pakistan and Kazakhstan were working to establish commercial banking channels between the two countries. The envoy predicted a significant increase in bilateral trade volumes as a result of travel facilitation measures.
To support business-to-business (B2B) and chamber-to-chamber interactions, Kistafin responded to the FPCCI’s request by announcing that his embassy would issue visas to representatives of the Pakistani business, industry, and trade community within 5 working days. “We anticipate trade shows and exhibitions, as well as increased B2B cooperation, in the near future.”
According to Shabbir Mansha, vice president of FPCCI, Pakistan offers an e-visa facility to visitors from Kazakhstan, whereas visitors from Pakistan must seek sponsored visas or a recommendation from FPCCI to visit Kazakhstan.
