In order to prepare for the reopening of the Iranian embassy in Riyadh, a technical team from Iran will “probably” depart for Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, according to the semi-official Tasnim news agency.

Tasnim stated that the team would go to the Iranian embassy building and prepare the area for its reopening.

An Iranian technical delegation will travel to Saudi Arabia “this week,” according to Alireza Enayati, director general of the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

According to a report from the Iran Press news agency on Sunday. Enayati did not provide an exact date for the trip.

According to the Saudi News Agency, a technical delegation from Saudi Arabia arrived in Iran on Saturday.

To inspect the situation and talk about the steps for reopening the Saudi embassy and consulate general there.

The reinstatement of diplomatic relations was announced in a joint statement Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian signed on Thursday in Beijing.

In response to attacks on Saudi diplomatic missions in Iran after the country murdered a Shiite preacher, Saudi Arabia severed diplomatic ties with Iran in 2016.
