According to Gaza health authorities, Israel’s offensive has resulted in the tragic death of over 26,000 Palestinians, with thousands more feared buried under rubble. The majority of Gaza’s 2.3 million residents are displaced, facing severe shortages of essential resources such as food, water, and medicine.
The Israeli offensive was initiated in response to a violent incident on October 7, where Hamas militants killed 1,200 people and took 240 hostages. In Rafah, 1.3 million people are concentrated, attempting to evade the Israeli assault.
