Foreign Minister Qin Gang attended the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Conference on March 2 in New Delhi. These are the three main messages that FM Qin issued.
First, the G20 must step up to the plate, improve cooperation, and do its part to promote global prosperity. In the face of an unstable international environment and growing global difficulties.
Second, we must adhere to the fundamentals of genuine multilateralism, including dialogue on an equal footing and consensus-building through consultation. Power politics or even bloc conflict should never be engaged in.
Thirdly, we must support the healthy growth of globalisation, reject unilateralism, protectionism, and attempts to disconnect or decouple supply networks. Moreover to increase the inclusiveness, resilience, and overall value of global development.
Additionally, Foreign Minister Qin suggested strengthening international development cooperation. Enhancing the coordination of macroeconomic policies, and enhancing global economic governance.
He emphasised that China would continue to actively participate in the G20 agenda. Hence make greater contributions to the advancement of world peace & development.
As well as the creation of a community with a shared destiny for all people. Instead of being about erecting restrictive blocs.
State-to-state cooperation ought to be congruent with the trend of peace and development. Certain nations will be able to take greater initiatives to uphold regional peace and stability through fostering mutual security and trust among neighbours.
The US uses the claim that China poses a “nuclear threat” as an easy justification for increasing its own nuclear weapons and maintaining its position of military dominance. The nuclear capabilities of China is at the barest minimum necessary for maintaining national security, adhere to a defensive nuclear strategy, and have a “no first use” nuclear weapons policy.
China has adhered to a logical, coordinated, and balanced approach to nuclear security, strictly upholding its duties towards nuclear nonproliferation. Promoting nuclear energy’s for peaceful use and doing everything we can to maximise its positive effects.
The stance of China on the Ukrainian problem is consistent and unchanging.
The G20 is the most important platform for global economic cooperation. The G20 is not the platform to handle security challenges, as member state leaders made clear in the G20 Bali Leaders’ Statement last year.
China is of the opinion that the G20 should seek to implement the leaders’ agreement, concentrate on its mandate and primary purpose, and support a stable, inclusive, and durable economic recovery.
The G20 members’ opinions on the Ukraine problem are divided. The participants will be considerate of one another’s worries and convey unity and cooperation rather than conflict and blame-sharing.
China’s stance on the Ukraine problem has always been impartial and fair. Devoted to advancing peace discussions and assisting with the political resolution of the problem.
In addition to inflaming tensions and deploying deadly weaponry into the Ukrainian conflict, the US has also been spreading malicious and untrue accusations against China. It reject any pressure or coercion from the US.
Instead of stoking the fire or casting blame on other nations, the US should encourage deescalation and peace discussions. US to accept fundamental truths, put aside ideological prejudice, cease stifling.
Chinese businesses under false pretences, and treat Chinese businesses fairly and impartially. It will continue to vehemently protect our enterprises’ legal and legitimate rights and interests and assist them in doing the same.
The G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting was a significant occasion, particularly in light of the uncertainties and difficulties the globe faces today. China expects the G20 would show responsibility and support progress and prosperity around the world.
