The 36th Annual General Meeting and Conference of the Pakistan Society of Development Economists (PSDE) on “Unleashing Tomorrow: Investment, Productivity and Employability” will be held at the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE), which is thrilled to host the event. In conjunction with the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS), Quetta, Balochistan, the conference will take place from November 22–24, 2022. In the area, Pakistan has the lowest investment-to-GDP ratio (15.41%). We invite academia to focus serious attention on this important issue and create solutions. Investment depends on the supportive environment (policies and endowments), the skill set that is accessible, and the output of the labour force. Investment boosts productivity through increasing skills, which raises the return to work and hence increases labour demand. Investment advances technologies and establishes a production and imitation environment.
