“Instead of passing unwarranted criticism against China-Pakistan cooperation, the US side might as well do something real and beneficial for the people of Pakistan.”
China has provided and will continue to provide humanitarian aid to Pakistan for flood losses, a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said, urging the US to do more for the Pakistani people rather than criticizing China-Pakistan cooperation.
The remark came after US Secretary of State Antony Blinken urged flood-ravaged Pakistan to seek debt relief from China, its close partner.
“I also urged our colleagues to engage China on some of the important issues of debt relief and restructuring, so that Pakistan can more quickly recover from the floods,” he said, according to AFP.
