China and France Forge cooperation for Global Good
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

It is a sign of China’s importance to its relations with Europe that China’s top diplomat. Wang Yi, chose France as the location of his first trip in his new role.  As director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China Central Committee.

Indeed, France has long been regarded by China as a reliable partner with whom it could cooperate on international issues. In fact, France was the first major Western nation to establish diplomatic relations with China in 1964. And the two countries forged a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2004.

Since General Charles de Gaulle, practically every French president has upheld the tradition of independent foreign policy. This has given France the ability to play an increasingly significant role as a proponent of a multipolar world.

As a result, the two nations have been able to work together to defend multilateralism, preserve UN ideals, and tackle global issues like climate change and biodiversity.

As a result, it is not surprising that during their meeting on Wednesday, French President Emmanuel Macron and Chinese President Wang. They met to discuss how France and China should cooperate to uphold multilateralism, oppose bloc conflicts, and prevent the world from falling apart. In the face of the world’s increasingly complex international situation.

The issue has become more urgent as a result of the United States’ increasing unilateralism, which is being pursued against the interests of the rest of the world. As well as its orchestrated decoupling campaign against China in the trade and high-tech sectors, which aims to cut off the nation from the world’s supply and industrial chains.

Yet, given that China currently accounts for one-fourth of the growth in the global economy, a total decoupling is impossible and a lose-lose strategy.

Given that close economic and trade cooperation has always been the strong foundation for Sino-French relations. However, French businesses and enterprises stand ready to benefit greatly from the enormous Chinese market now that China’s economy.

That has recovered quickly and society has returned to normal thanks to the optimization of its COVID-19 prevention and control measures.

They also discussed how to establish a political approach to resolve the Russia-Ukraine crisis because both Macron and Wang. According to reports, “stated the same purpose of contributing to peace in accordance with international law.”

China has always supported for peace talks between Russia and Ukraine and hopes to collaborate with other nations, particularly France. To hasten the implementation of a cease-fire.

It would be a godsend for the globe if there were significant Sino-French cooperation on this matter. Because the nearly year-long battle has not only ravaged Ukraine but also generated an energy crisis in Europe. And food shortages in many developing nations.
