In Bali, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indonesian President Joko Widodo met for bilateral discussions. The two presidents were able to come to the important conclusion of jointly building a China-Indonesia community with a shared future, and they agreed to use the tenth anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries as an opportunity to open up new prospects for high-level cooperation in the following year.
After seeing a video presentation on the successes of China-Indonesia collaboration, President Xi and President Widodo observed the operational trial of the Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway over a video link.
The two presidents listened to the briefing about the latest developments in the building of the high-speed railway between Jakarta and Bandung. Both the Chinese and Indonesian drivers of the experimental train confirmed that everything was in working order on the train.
The first high-speed railway in Indonesia and all of Southeast Asia is the Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway. When it is finally put into action, it will cut the amount of time it takes to drive from Jakarta to Bandung from more than three hours down to forty minutes.
The order to “Begin” was given by both of the presidents. The dazzling brand-new trial train emerged from the Tegalluar station in a measured manner and gradually picked up speed. The audience began applauding enthusiastically.
