On Sunday, a high-level parliamentary delegation headed by Kazakhstan’s Mazhilis Speaker Yerlan Koshanov will fly into Islamabad for the first time ever for a three-day formal visit.
Along with National Assembly members, Deputy Speaker Zahid Akram Durrani extended a warm welcome to the delegation.
On Raja Pervez Ashraf’s special invitation, the National Assembly Speaker is making the historic visit. The two brotherly nations’ diplomatic ties were established 30 years ago in 2022, and the Chairman of Kazakhstan’s Lower House is visiting for the first time in the 30-year history of their bilateral relations. Speaking at the event, Yerlan Koshanov stated that Kazakhstan places a high value on its long-standing kinship ties with Pakistan. He placed emphasis on fostering legislative ties between the two nations.
