The UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, and Inspire Pakistan commemorated the 30th anniversary of the DAFI refugee scholarship program in Islamabad today. Since its inception in 1992, the Albert Einstein German Academic Refugee Initiative (DAFI) scholarship program has changed the lives of refugee students in Pakistan and students worldwide.
For third-level undergraduate students majoring in subjects like medical, engineering, social and behavioral sciences, business administration, mathematics, and computer sciences, the German-backed program offers funding options.
The DAFI scholarship program encourages refugee self-reliance by providing them with the professional credentials, information, and skills they’ll need for the future. The program aims to create highly competent and qualified human resources who may be instrumental in Pakistan’s rebuilding as well as that of their home country.
