In an effort to improve ties between Pakistani and French educational institutions, French Ambassador Nicholas Galey, French Counselor for Cultural Affairs Mounir Slimani, and French Scientific and Higher Education Attaché Sabine Vermillard visited COMSATS University.
The current French Ambassador’s first trip to a Pakistani university, the visit intended to promote communication at COMSATS University.
In this first Choose France event, which took place in Lahore and Islamabad and included student fairs, university tours, and a conference, some prestigious French universities participated.
The Ambassador was welcomed on campus by Prof. Afzal, authorities, students, and French alumni. Nicholas Galey was informed of COMSATS University’s collaborations with French academic institutions, such as the Universities of Nice, Sophia Antipolis, University of the Cote d’Azur, School of Engineering, and Chamber of Commerce in Paris.
Additionally, it was disclosed that the University currently employs around 65 French alumni as members of its faculty.
