At the Rafi Peer Theatre Cultural Center, the Danish puppet theater “Theater Lamp” presented a show for children.
The theater has brought “The Mole and the House that Came and Left” for these performances. Any international puppetry performance that took place from the Rafi Peer Theater Workshop stage in Lahore after around four years.
It was a nonverbal play about perception and sensation of the world, particularly of realities that are in direct opposition to your own. The mole stays comfortably underground until one morning when it awakens to discover a home perched atop its molehill.
A full-fledged puppet theater festival was also planned for the Rafi Peer Culture Center, but Mr. Pirzada said that lack of funding prevented it from happening. He adds that although they took place at various eras, people still recall the World Performing Arts Festivals that Rafi Peer Theater Workshop held.
