SSARCoreGroup of EU visited an Afghan refugee village in Haripur.
After 4 decades, Afghans in Pakistan are eager to build their communities & support their children to become teachers, doctors & engineers.
To mitigate challenges faced by Afghan Refugees, especially post-Taliban takeover of July 2021, an SSAR Core Group (Solutions Strategy for Afghan Refugees to Support Voluntary Repatriation, Sustainable Reintegration and Assistance to Host Countries) was created.
EU Ambassador to Pakistan H.E Kionka, visited the village accompanied by Paola Pampaloni, Deputy Director EU for Asia Pacific Region. Ambassor wrote a tweet saying: “I myself am a child of refugees. Today’s visit was educational, inspiring and poignant. Hope for a better future is a universal human quality”
