The situation in Balochistan is deteriorating with each passing day due to increasing road blockades and enforced disappearances. National Party (NP) central leader Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch strongly criticized the federal government for its indifference to the growing crisis.
Government Policies Worsening the Crisis
Dr. Baloch, speaking at a party meeting in Quetta, condemned the government’s approach towards Balochistan. He blamed authorities for neglecting the province’s long-standing grievances and pushing it further into instability.
Further, he warned that the use of force against the people would only escalate tensions. He accused the federal government of implementing anti-people policies that have deepened the crisis in the province.
Daily Road Blockades and Enforced Disappearances
The NP leader highlighted the increase in road blockades, which have disrupted daily life and economic activities. The frequent shutdown of major highways has isolated parts of the province, affecting trade and movement.
He also raised concerns over the issue of enforced disappearances. Families of missing persons continue to protest, demanding answers from the authorities. He criticized the government for failing to address these human rights violations.
National Party’s Role in the Opposition
Dr. Baloch reaffirmed that the National Party remains committed to its role in the opposition. He stated that NP leaders were actively raising Balochistan’s issues in the Senate and National Assembly.
Dr. Baloch urged other opposition parties to stand with the people of Balochistan and speak out against the injustices they face. He called for a united political effort to push for democratic solutions to the province’s challenges. Federal Government’s Indifference and Broken Promises
The NP leader accused the central government of making empty promises to Balochistan while continuing to exploit its resources. He argued that despite repeated assurances, the government has failed to address the province’s lack of basic infrastructure, education, and healthcare.
Dr. Baloch demanded that authorities take immediate action to resolve the grievances of the people. He warned that further delay would only lead to more unrest.
Call for Dialogue and Political Solutions
He urged the government to engage in meaningful dialogue with local leaders and address the root causes of the conflict. He stressed that military solutions would never bring lasting peace.
Instead of force, he said, the government should focus on political and economic reforms to integrate Balochistan into the national framework. He emphasized that resolving Balochistan’s issues through dialogue was the only way to bring stability to the region.
Growing Political Tensions in Balochistan
Balochistan has seen a rise in political tensions due to increased protests and unrest. Various nationalist groups have expressed frustration over the government’s handling of the situation.
Human rights organizations continue to highlight cases of missing persons and demand justice. Meanwhile, the people of Balochistan struggle with deteriorating security and economic conditions.
Uncertain Future for Balochistan
As tensions rise, the future of Balochistan remains uncertain. Dr. Baloch’s criticism of the government reflects growing discontent among the people.
The government’s next moves will determine whether the crisis worsens or if efforts will be made to bring peace through political engagement.
