President Joe Biden condemned antisemitism and took a veiled shot at Donald Trump just days after the former president dined with rapper Kanye West, who has made a slew of recent antisemitic remarks, and white supremacist Nick Fuentes.
Biden wrote on his official Twitter account on Friday, “I just want to clarify a few things.” The Holocaust took place. Hitler was a devilish character. And our political leaders ought to expose and denounce antisemitism wherever it lurks, not give it a voice. “Silence is consent,”
The statement was made the day after the rapper, formerly known as Kanye West, told right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones during an anti-Semitic outburst on Jones’ InfoWars programme, “I admire Hitler.” You also tweeted a Swastika in the shape of a Star of David.
Kanye West was once again banned from Twitter after posting an image of a swastika inside a Star of David on his show with Alex Jones and Juan Carlos Fuentes. Ye’s net worth dropped by hundreds of millions of dollars after his anti-Semitic tweet in October. Most Republicans have avoided criticizing the dinner, which they say shows support for fascism and anti-Semitism.
