Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Senator Sherry Rehman revealed a significant update regarding the Recharge Pakistan project, as it successfully secured an approval of $77.8 million in funding. The project is funded through green climate finance resources of US$ 66 million, as well as co-financing of roughly US$ 11.8 million. The project’s major goal is to implement ecosystem-based adaptation methods such as flood water harvesting, flood risk management, the creation of green infrastructure in key locations, and the capacity building of climate-affected communities.
