Today, representatives from 17 OIC member states supported the idea of creating a ministerial platform for working together on initiatives in science, technology, and innovation. The OIC-15 Dialogue Platform, an initiative of the Republic of Kazakhstan, brings together more than fifteen OIC nations that are setting the pace for the rest of the OIC in terms of science and technology. The OIC General Secretariat, COMSTECH, Iran, Qatar, Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, and Morocco sent delegates to today’s OIC-15 Senior Officials Meeting. Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Azerbaijan, Cameroon, and the United Arab Emirates participated online. The OIC-15 will provide as a forum for the presentation of bilateral or multilateral STI ideas for joint actions to be carried out through COMSTECH. The Ministerial Committee should establish the Oic-15’s goals, terms of reference, and operating procedures, according to member nations who thoroughly discussed them.
