EU ambassador to Pakistan Riina Kionka was warmly welcomed in her native Estonian by the rural community of Tootak, Khuzdar, Balochistan as part of the Balochistan Rural Support Program. She later met with the Bright Women Network women who turned a civil dispensary into a telehealth centre and made sure that teachers showed up at a girl’s school. she also stated that “Women who are mobilised are powerful women.”
Additionally, H.E. Riina Kionka met with Mr Muneer Durrani, the Deputy Commissioner for Kalat. DC Kalat discussed the destruction brought on by the most recent floods and how many are ill-prepared for the forthcoming hard winter. she also recommended that the Balochistan Rural Support Programme be expanded.
