The new e-commerce platform Miravia was launched in Spain by Chinese tech company Alibaba Group Holding Ltd in an effort to increase its share of the country’s midrange to high-end consumer market against increased rivalry from domestic rivals.
According to Alibaba, Miravia is independently run, and the majority of the brands featured in the platform’s offerings are Spanish and other European, with products available in a variety of markets including beauty, fashion, personal care, electronics, food, baby products, and healthcare.
Miravia is a new e-commerce platform from Alibaba that is aimed at middle- and high-income people in Spain. One of the European marketplaces with the most potential for internet retail is Miravia. AliExpress, Alibaba.com, and Lazada are a few of the international digital commerce platforms that Alibaba established last December. Chinese online merchants are expanding faster in foreign markets in an effort to attract more customers and find new revenue streams. Miravia appears to have a unique business strategy that prioritises regional operations while concentrating on the mid and high-end markets. Online discounter Pinduoduo Inc. launched Temu, its first international e-commerce site, in September with a focus on the US market.
