He expressed his appreciation for the organization’s significant contributions to world peace and progress.

Xi drew parallels between traditional Chinese culture, characterized by values like “the benevolent person loves others,” and the principles underpinning the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

ICRC President Mirjana Spoljaric Egger congratulated China for its exceptional recognition, with the highest number of recipients of the Florence Nightingale Medal this year.
